The use of integrative therapies is not a substitute for medical treatment or medication. It is recommended that you work with a primary care provider for any medical condition you may have. I am licensed to diagnose and treat mental illness, but it is not within my scope of practice to diagnosis physical illness or disease, and I cannot prescribe medications. Any discussion of nutritional, homeopathic, herbal, or other “folk” remedies are simply an invitation for further exploration under appropriate medical supervision. I make no claims of their safety or efficacy, and am not liable for their use.
Many integrative therapies involve the use of touch, which I am licensed to provide. You may request not to be touched at any time during therapy without needing to explain it, and without fear of punishment. You should consult with a primary care provider before beginning any movement, body-oriented therapy or exercise program.
